Fortified red wine
A very traditional style of Maury wine from which the area is renowned.
Not as sweet as most fortified wines wiht 100g/l of residual sugar, giving a very interesting balance to the wine.
Try serving at 15C, rather than straight from the fridge, to experience the wine at its best.
Pair with sweet and salty dishes such as duck with orange sauce or rabbit with prunes and strong cheeses. Alternatively try with chocolate desserts or red fruits tarts.
